Reunited with an old friend...

I've been looking for the perfect handbag. It's hard to find, but last night I achieved this.
I've been using an old vinyl handbag that had belonged to my Nana, but this dainty bag doesn't meet all my handbag criteria. Namely, I cannot fit two bottles of wine in it. With a trip to New Zealand looming on the horizon (I fly out tomorrow morning) I realised I need to implement my #1 travel tip - take a huge handbag with you. I hate shopping, and didn't have the time for it anyway so last night when I got home I pulled my handbag from what could have been its second to last resting place (for some reason I just couldn't bear to part with this lovely sac even after one of the seams had given way) and I stitched it up! I stitched up the inside lining so the inside pocket actually has a functional purpose once more and fixed up the seam in the bottom of the bag so my worries of everything falling out one by one as I walk along are no longer fears I possess. I'm so happy to be reunited with this wonderful bag. It was about $60 Canadian from Aldo about two years ago and I have not found a better bag (even when I've considered the high-end super expensive deliciously beautiful ones). I am so happy to have this old friend sitting next to me at work. Now I'm looking forward to my trip back to New Zealand, just for the weekend.
