More Inspiration of the Crafty Variety
After having my wonder friend Ray Charles over for an afternoon of tea and chatting I am inspired to look into the world of felting. A quick phone call to my sister in New Zealand was the first step,
informing me that no, I could not just use my normal knitting wool for felting. She asked what I wanted to felt and untold her - lots of pretty colourful balls to one day make in to a rug. She told me to look for roving wool and to also look in to needle felting. Being the obedient sister that I am, I did, and oh my god, a whole new world of cuteness was opened up to me. I am ordering a needle felting kit from Etsy as soon as I'm done here, and am definitely going to annoy my ever-patient boyfriend with the above felted soap. Little Birdie Secrets: how to make wool felted soap How great is that stuff???! Anyway, as you an probably tell, I am very excited and having one of those lovely nights in dreaming of one day having my own sewing room but keeping my hands busy with a tea cosy for London Sister (New Zealand Sister just got a scarf).
I am going to keep persisting with this blogging thing. I have just recently taken myself out of the Facebook world so am finding lots of spare internet time and am really loving some of these blogs I'm stumbling upon, like this Marisa Pinson bit. I tried to find more other stuff, but it was harder than I thought it would be. Anyway, enough for now. I love happy crafty feelings. x
