The Day My Hula Hooping Obsession Started (again).

Oh how I love a little bit of inspiration! I just read this article and am re-inspired to take up hula hooping again! I could never conquer those dizzying heights of hooping success as a child and was overjoyed to find my inability could be curbed when a friend taught me how a couple of years ago. Unfortunately soon after my lessons I left town (and my supply of hula hoops) and moved to Montreal.
I bought a hoop there, but I couldn't get it moving. I think I must have bought one that was too light but now I am inspired to purchase one of my own and try again. I am wondering how my little living room will fear since I live in a very small apartment and I can't imagine there being enough room for the full swing of hula hoop at any point in the house, but if there is a space capable of withstanding the hopping and giggling that will inevitably coincide with this task, I assure you, dear non-existent reader, that I shall use all of my mathematical ability to find it! (off to a bad start, I spelt mathematical wrong there the first time...). Off I go to trawl the internet for advice and offers to find my new hula hoop...

Right, I have now spent most of my afternoon pretending to do work-related research and looking up hula hoops. I am now tempted to book myself in for a Circus or Dance Hoop course at Puzzle Dust Circus here in Melbourne AND buy a 'large travel hoop'. I have a friend who does hula hooping who has offered to teach me, but for the commitment should I go with a pre-paid set-time six week course? I am terrible at committing to anything other than my love for crunchy snacks but surely hula hooping would be so much fun I would keep it up? I might have to rope a friend in for added incentive and encouragement. I shall keep you (me) informed.
